CN RESPIRATORY SOLUTIONS LIMITED (CNR) was formed by an A&E consultant with a background in a major trauma centre and teaching hospital, Dr Ian Bullock. He has designed a new device which is expected to be a game-changer in COPD treatment, The expectation is that the revised approach will likely make the current generation of nebulisers obsolete in a hospital context.

Our mission is to bring the technology to hospitals around the world as quickly as possible,

Having completed the initial design phase, produced a working prototype, and submitted our first patent application, we are on our way.
We expect to develop the system with the support of industry partners and potentially additional investors and are open to considering both routes at this stage.
Vision
The new device is a nebuliser which is also able to deliver fixed-rate oxygen. This has never been achieved in a low-cost single-use device before.
It does this in conjunction with the usual hospital equipment, with only 1 or 2 minutes needed to familiarise staff.
It is expected to transform the acute management of COPD in hospitals.
Once the necessary regulatory steps are taken, it is intended to seek approval for this approach to be integrated into major national guidelines, such as the British Thoracic Society guidelines for oxygen use in adults in healthcare and emergency settings, and future iterations of the NICE guideline (NG11) Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in over 16s: diagnosis and management, last updated in 2019.
Our goal is to have this approach become the standard of care in the UK. If that happens, this should create a ripple effect across the world.
